Area 1 Agency on Aging/Aging and Disability Resource Center Advisory Council

The Area One Agency on Aging Advisory Committee shall carry out advisory functions which further the mission of developing and coordinating community-based systems of services for all older adults in the planning and service area.

The Area One Agency on Aging Advisory Committee shall serve as a Standing Committee of the Northwest Indiana Community Action Corporation Board of Directors and shall make recommendations to the Board with regard to:

1. Development of the Area Plan for comprehensive services to the elderly.
2. Conducting public hearings on needs of older persons.
3. Representation of the interests of older persons.
4. Review and comment on all community policies, programs and actions, which affect older persons.
