Family Development Program
The Family Development Program is a service designed to assist families on the path to self-sufficiency.
NWICA Family Development Specialists work with families to set goals. Our strengths-based assessment process promotes, empowers, and nurtures families towards economic and social self-sufficiency.

Family Development services could include the following:
• Employment, job training and retention skills
• Budgeting
• Parenting instruction
• Education assistance
• Credit counseling referrals
• Housing referrals
• Advocacy
Northwest Indiana Community Action's Family Development Program works with families and community partners in four counties: Lake, Porter, Newton, and Jasper.
